  • Offline mode!

Overall this is a great app for DC fans, nice amount of content and user friendly. My only problem is that when you download content to the offline mode and you go somewhere where there is no signal, (for example im in the navy so I work inside of a ship) the app could not open whatsoever. If I connect to internet and then go offline it would work. Kinda defeats the purpose!
  • Search function needs work

Vastly improved over when it first came out. Then, the comics selection was pitiful. Now it is quite robust. Only 3 stars because the search function stinks. You can’t type something like “Batman 350” and consistently find the issue you’re looking for. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. Frustrating when you’re trying to find specific issues because you’re reading a crossover. Also, issues need to be marked as “Read” like they are on Marvel Unlimited.
  • Why did they disable split screen for iPadOS?

I am a professional artist. I used to occasionally keep DCU open on the side while I drew - for inspiration and reference. It was a great tool for when I wanted to study how some of my favorite artists did certain things. I could flip through pages of old comics and get ideas. I’m not even talking about ripping or tracing, just having some cool work up on the side to inspire me. Now, the iPad split-screen feature has been disabled for some reason. Are they worried about people directly copying art? Because if I wanted to just trace someone’s works I can still do screen grabs and pull them into Procreate or whatever. But that’s not what I want. I just enjoyed having a library of comics at my side, next to my drawing space, that I can flip through when I’m feeling uninspired, or tripping over something and wondering how other people handle it. This latest update has removed my ability to do that and has knocked what was a 4* product down to 2*s for me. I know it’s a pretty limited use case, and most won’t be likely to care, but for me it’s a pretty big deal. Without this issue, I think it is a pretty good product. The video programming feels like it should have more available - where are most of the DC live action films? - but the comics side is pretty robust, if poorly organized. -B

Seriously Guys Binge on 🦇 Batman but leave out the first Batman Lewis Wilson. The Second Batman Robert Lowery The Third Batman Adam West. Not ONE episode movie or mention of these actors who made Batman. Not even the complete 30 episodes of Kirk Alyn Superman Serials. Incomplete , Seriously Lacking Justice League Movie Selection. And the list goes on.$7.99 a month I just expected more. I Binge On Batman FREE on the Roku Channel With ALL The Original Batmans. I see I am not the only one who feels this way!

I love the comic selection but what bothers me the most is it always crashes with an unexpected error. Also the fact that even if you download a comic because you might go somewhere without service, it won’t load the comic without service. What’s the point of downloading if you have no access to it???

It’s ok. Not enough new issues of the comics and newer movies. Only a portion of cartoons too. They should call it DC world, because they sure don’t have everything in the DC Universe available. From the newest movies to simple Teen Titans Go! If you like rewatching really old movies. If they really wanted to top the competition they should open this all the way and give us access to everything. And please bring the LEGO world into it. Some of the best stuff is DC LEGO.

I experience playback issues most of the time I use the app and the app often glitches and won’t allow me to progress through multiple pages. I’ve also noticed that the app will not play content at all when I am connected to WiFi. Lots of bugs to fix I think but I love the content.

This app has been terrible to use. So the problem today is my videos come upside down, how does that happen?? Most of the time it freezes starting the app takes a while to start and video content is blurry for a while until it clears up I honestly don’t even read the comics I use it for a lot of the movies and tv show but for 14 bucks a month this app is not worth it they don’t even have the new films or reasonably newer content just old Tim burton Batman films. No Nolan Batman or even Snyder Batman on top of that it’s known for having th cartoons but it doesn’t even have all of em…I just think this app is a big let down and I never rate apps unless I really experience it until the point of no return, and I’m about there, gonna get Disney plus and say bye bye to this one.
